Watchmen: Prayer and Supplication
1. Watch and Pray
Matthew 26:36-41 (NKJV)
36 Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.” 37 And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. 38 Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and WATCH with Me.”
39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.” 40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not WATCH with Me one hour? 41 WATCH and PRAY, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Ephesians 6:13-19 (NKJV)
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 Praying always with all PRAYER and supplication in the Spirit, being WATCHFUL to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel
Ephesians 6:10-13 (NKJV)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)
Paul says: Praying Always with All Prayer and Supplication in the Spirit………
Luke chapter 18 Jesus spoke a parable to the people about Persevering Prayer……..
2. We Must Pray In The Spirit……..
1 Corinthians 14
Romans 8:26 (NKJV)
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Ezekiel chapter 3
Habakkuk 2:1-3 (NKJV)
1 I will stand my watch
And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me,
And what I will answer when I am corrected. 2 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.
3. Make Prayer and Supplication For All Saints…..
Ephesians 6:19-20 (NKJV)
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Here are the 7 Pillars of the Gospel and if you can Believe this, you can be saved!!

7. He is coming Again!!!
Revelation 3:1-6 (NKJV)
1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: (This is Jesus talking and He is saying this is what I have to say to the church) “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” 2 Be WATCHFUL, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not WATCH, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names (a Remnant. He is talking about people here within the church and city) even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’
Revelation 3:3 (ESV)
3 Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.
