- Twice in Joseph’s life now, Joseph has been clothed with garments that others have used to try and cover their own sins.
- First his brothers used his coat to convince their father Joseph had been killed, when they had really sold him into slavery
- Secondly, Potiphar’s wife used his garments to convince her husband that Joseph attacked her

20 And Joseph’s master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison. 21 But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

24 And Joseph said to his brethren, “I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land (the land of Egypt) to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.” 25 Then Joseph took an oath from the children of Israel, saying, “God will surely visit you and you shall carry up my bones from here.”
