Place, Promise, Prayer, & Order

Going to talk a little bit today. The Holy Spirit, as I, as your pastor began to ask me to come, I began to hear from the Lord about what I was supposed to speak to you. It's so hot in Mobile. When your pastor called me, I was actually in my pool and I'm just laying like there and I'm talking to him. I'm going, absolutely, the Lord.

Yes, God's moving. We'll be there. Hallelujah. I'm cooling off right now.

That's true. That's true. When I was talking to you, I was in my pool and I just mowed the yard. And so I said, we got to get in the pool after that. So.

Okay. Acts chapter 2. The Holy Spirit began to speak to me about what I felt like he wanted to say to you today. Specifically. I don't believe I've really ever shared this before.

I think this is not to my remembrance. I. As I begin to walk through this, the Holy Spirit has had me reading through the Book of Acts in my personal devotion time. I don't study for sermons. I go to the Word of God for personal nourishment.

And what the Lord illuminates in my heart is what I share with his people. And so as I begin to go through the Book of Acts, these things begin to just stir in my heart. So I want to start in acts chapter number two, verse number one. And then we're going to go back to Acts 1:1 and we're going to walk through a progression here for you. I promise I will not try to be too long today, but I can't promise that I won't be sort of long.

I got to catch a flight at like six o' clock out of Atlanta. So I got to deal with Atlanta traffic. Hallelujah. And I'm waiting on the leaders in this community, including your pastor, to take apostolic authority over the traffic in this community in Jesus name. I've never been to a city in my life like Atlanta.

Drive through Atlanta at three in the morning, there's traffic jam on. Where are these people going? Right, Right. So, Acts Chapter two. When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind. And it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues as a fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Going to keep reading for a minute.

Are you okay? And there, dwelling in Jerusalem, Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. When this sound occurred, the multitude came together and they were confused because they started hearing everybody talk in their own language. They were amazed and marveled and they said to one another, how is this happening? These people are Galileans, Parthians and Medes.

Hallelujah. We're going to skip to verse number 14, Mr. Screen Person. Others mocking verse 13 says they're full of new wine. But Peter, standing up with the 11, raised his voice and said to them, men of Judah and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and heed my words. These men are not drunk as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel, that in the last days I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams. We most of us I would assume. I don't want to assume. I was not raised in a charismatic Pentecostal revival type upbringing.

My grandfather was an independent Baptist preacher and left that world because he was hungry for more of the Holy Spirit. When I was around 20 years old, I went to a meeting and the fire of God touched me and I began to search the scriptures regarding the truth about the out outpouring of the Spirit. And by revelation the Holy Spirit revealed to me its truth. I do not today consider myself a full gospel spirit filled person because I was taught it that way. I consider myself a full gospel spirit filled, as an old saint would say, tongue talking, devil stomping, Hallelujah.

Holy rolling blood bought, devil killing. Yeah, I'm all of those things, but I'm not all of those things things because somebody told me I was. I had a revelation of God come to my spirit and tell me that these things were true. And since that moment I have been a man hungry for the outpouring of God. We live there, are there.

There's a remnant in the earth. Hello remnant church that is hungry for the outpouring of the Spirit of God. There's something deep in them that longs for more than what we're normally used to. There's something that when they go, they just can't go through the motions like everybody else. And they, they just can't live the normal life like everybody else.

And they can't explain it. But even when they're driving in their car on the way to work and a worship song comes on, tears begin to stream down their cheeks and they're not sure why, but something in their inner man is hungering for more than what they've experienced heretofore. That's the way I'm built. And I'm not built that way because I'm just built that way because I had an encounter with Jesus and there was an outpouring of his Spirit on my heart and life. And ever since that day I'm hungry for it.

And hungry to the point of addiction. Hungry to the point. Hallelujah. I'M like a drug addict. I want another hit of the glory of God Line upon line is my apostle Line upon line Precept upon precept he give it to me Holy Ghost I'm gonna have fun with y' all whether you want to or not.

This morning I'm gonna sniff out the religious folk, have fun with the fun folk.

And ever since that day, I've moved states because I'm hungry for the move of God. I've changed my entire life. I pulled my kids out of schools because I was hungry for the move of God. To me, this is not a Sunday morning, only faith. This is something that affects every decision of my life.

This is something that is calling to me.

And I believe God's raising up a people. I believe God's doing it right here in this church in Adairsville, Georgia. He's raising up a people in a business park that are hungry for the move of God. And they're asking Holy Spirit, would you come? I don't care what it looks like, what it sounds like, what it feels like, what it makes us look like, how people perceive us, how other church people will talk, I don't care about.

I just want the glory of God to cover first Adairsville as the waters cover the sea.

And this is what we find in Acts, chapter two. And I love Acts chapter 10, because in Acts chapter two, we have the Jewish outpouring of the Spirit. In pentecost, Acts chapter 10 is really more of our outpouring in the Holy Spirit, because that is when the Gentiles receive the Holy Spirit, Ghost. And we've been hungry. We're hungry for a move of God.

And many times we're asking. We're asking the Lord. We come to services, we hear sermons. What do we need to do? Or what is the mix?

What is the recipe? What is the roux? I live in the Gulf coast now. What is the roux for the move of God? What do I put in the pot?

A lot of people love to go to Second Corinthians, 7:14. If my people call by my name, will humble themselves and pray, however, heal their land. We reference all these things, but I believe the Holy Spirit has shown me something specifically for you today, specifically for your leadership today as sort of a key to what you're asking God for, what you're asking God for. Now let's go to Acts chapter number one, and we're going to start in verse number one. I'm going to attempt to read so much Bible to you today.

You can skip your 15 minute devotional for at least a week.

The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus. This is the doctor, Luke. Not the musician, rapper. Some of y' all don't know who that is. Oh, y' all.

Saved. Saved. The former account I made, O Theophisis, of all that Jesus began both to do and to teach, until the day in which he was taken up, after he, through the Holy Spirit, had given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen, to whom he also presented himself alive. Oh, my Lord, what a sight that would have been after his suffering by many infallible proofs being seen by them during 40 days. And speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God and being assembled together with them, Jesus said.

Now, we're talking this morning about outpouring, because I believe the goal of the reason God put you in Adairsville is outpouring. I believe you're here because this city, this community, this region and this state needs an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We need the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms of our God and his Christ. We need on earth as it is in heaven. And this is what we're hungering for.

So I want to walk you through this. This will be a little bit of a teaching this morning. I want to walk you through this. Being assembled together with them. Jesus commanded them.

I'm not going to turn too much this way, because when I do, there's a spot right here I see on the screens that is beginning to thin more and more. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Yeah, yeah. Me and Pastor, we.

Come on. We're going to do this together. Hallelujah. The most anointed people are bald people. I see many bald in the room.

God's anointing you with a fresh anointing this morning. Hallelujah. There's a bald. Hey. Hey.

Hi. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Being assembled together with him. He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem. So I want you to see something today. If you're. In a sense.

If you're taking notes, I'm a notetaker. He plants them somewhere specific.

He tells them, go to that city and do not leave it until he plants them in a specific place. You are where you are for a reason. The scripture says in the book of Acts, I believe it's chapter 17, either verse 15 or chapter 15, verse 17, that it is God himself from one blood who made the entire human race. And he. This is fascinating.

It ought to make you breathe a little deeper. Rest a Little harder. He determines their times and their borders.

You ought to rest a little bit, because you can't get out of here when you think you can get out of here because God has predetermined how long you're going to live, where you live, how long you're going to work, where you work, how long you're going to be in Adair's. God has already decided. And you can kick against the those pricks, or you can rest knowing God planted you here for a purpose.

He commanded them, do not leave Jerusalem. He plants them in a specific place, the planting of the Lord. And he tells them this. You will wait for a promise.

This is not intended to be alliterative this morning or any alliteration, but I want you to see this. There is a planting and then there is a promise. You don't build a building like this or do the things this church has done unless there's a promise attached to it. Now, you don't. You don't.

You don't just come and do this for kicks and giggles. You don't take on something like this. Can I give you this? I don't want to pay the light bill here. You don't take on this measure of responsibility.

You don't take on the responsibility of a city and a community and the burden of the Lord to be a voice of the kingdom of God in a community unless there is a promise attached to that obedience.

So God takes these men and he plants them and he tells them, do not leave until the promise comes. And he tells them, this is what it is, the promise. Throw my verse back up there. Mister. Mister.

Is it a miss or mister? I only believe in two, so I don't know what y' all believe. It's a ma'. Am. Hallelujah.

Beautiful. Ma'. Am. I only believe in two. Y' all can believe what you want to, but I'm going to stick with two.

Hallelujah.

I'm going to stick with two. Man of God, I'm going to stick with two, okay?

He commanded him not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise. Now, that's. That's challenging, too, because waiting is hard.

Doing work when it seems like nothing is working and there is no fruit is hard. Praying when it seems like nothing is happening is hard. Fasting when there is no breakthrough is hard. Preaching when people look at you like they looked at Jeremiah is hard.

But he said, you will wait for the promise of the Father, which he said, you have heard from me. Verse number five for John truly Baptized with water. But you. Oh, hallelujah. But you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.

I find this. This next verse to be an epidemic in America. Specifically in America. Therefore, when they had come together, they asked him, lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? This is not my subject today.

And, Pastor, you. You. This is not my house. He. He, you correct whatever you.

You need do to. I promise not to make a mess. But. But I find this to be an epidemic in America that many of us hope America turns around more than we personally receive power. He.

He said that. He said, you. You will receive power from the Holy Spirit. And they said. And this is what they did.

That's good. That's good. Are you going to change our nation?

Will you change our nation? And he's going.

The biv. This is a Brin International version. It's like, I see Jesus going, bro, you're not getting it.

This is why some of you need to be here tonight for this marriage event, because some of us will comment about what's going on in a nation when our own home is falling apart. Now, help that make sense to me. Help that make sense to me that we have stronger opinions about political things when our lives don't like us men. But by God, America needs to turn around. No, no.

Our homes need to turn around.

Does America need to turn. Sure. But your focus. Here's what I. I love to ask people. What can you control?

Because what you can control is what God has given you dominion over. Over.

It's your peace of the earth for his glory to feel for me. It's my house, my wife, and my children. That's my responsibility. That's who I will stand before Jesus for. And that's ultimately my responsibility, is I have to make sure those four people besides me are taking care and that I raise them in the fear and the admonition of the Lord.

And if I do that, I do my job and I pray America take turns around, too. But my preeminent job is not to hope America turns around. My preeminent job is for me and my house to receive power from God. I hope you hear the heart and how I'm saying that. I hope that's okay, Pastor.

You shall receive power. And they say, lord, are you gonna. Are you gonna change our nation? And he said to them, the changing of your nation should not be bothering you.

You don't know the times and the seasons which the Father has put in his own authority. He will do what he wants to do when he wants to do it. Hallelujah. I remember I was invited in 2016 to go spend some time at the White House. Sir, if you have to correct anything I'm saying, you do it.

Okay? I'm a man in authority and under authority, but I remember I was invited to go to the White House in 2016 and was able to go a lot of the Cabinet Room and the Oval Office, all the kind of stuff. Met the President. It was a great. It was a great time.

But while I was in there, we were worshiping, and I heard the Holy Spirit say something to me. And he said to me, the bones are strong. Strong, and they can handle the shaking. And all worry about my nation vanished from me in that moment. The Holy Spirit has told me the shaking you see happening, the bones of this nation are strong.

And you have too much fear and not enough faith. That I have the final word.

I just want to insert that. But you, verse number eight, shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. And you will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and on all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth. So initially, we have the planting of the Lord, Then we have the promise of the Lord. I'm going to put you in a city, and I'm going to promise you that you will be filled with the Spirit of God.

There will be an outpouring of his Spirit, and you will go from that place, from that central location into all the world to preach the gospel. Now, verse number nine. Now, I want you to. This is what God's saying to you. Remnant Church, you have been planted in a city, and there is a promise over this house of the outpouring of God's spirit.

Okay, but again, this is why you're having marriage nights tonight. Because we're going to get us filled with power first before we worry about all this other stuff.

Now, verse number nine. I'm going somewhere. I promise. Now, when he had spoken these things while they watched, he was taken up into a cloud and received. I'm sorry.

He was taken up and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven, as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel. This scripture's fascinating me. This is not what I want to talk about, but I want you to see it. Who said, men of Galilee, why do you stand here gazing up into heaven?

This is fascinating to me because. My response would be, because he just left 22 seconds ago. What kind of question is that?

I Mean, come on. Jesus ascends. Guys, why are y' all standing up in of. Because the son of the living God just floated.

What are you.

Hello. Hello, Mr. Angel, sir. I don't know. I mean, I know you've seen some stuff, but we ain't seen that kind of stuff. Hey, why y' all standing up in.

Because literally 22 seconds ago, the Lamb of God, the son of the living God, was standing next to us, and he started floating. And we're going, bro, where are you going? He's going, I'll see y' all later. I mean, I'm going to another spot. Holla at your boy.

I'm going. I'm going to another spot. And he starts floating and he ascends. He ascends into heaven. But you know what?

The Lord spoke to me out of this passage. This is not what I know, but he told me. He said, in the move of God, there's no time for nostalgia.

And some of us love the old time way, and we're missing the right now move of God. The angels looked at him and said, why are you staring up into heaven? Literally 30 seconds ago, it's over. God's doing a new thing now, and you're staring and looking in yesterday going, boy, wasn't that great?

Boy, I wish we could have those old time meetings. You're missing a new meeting. Move of God reminiscing over an old time way.

This same Jesus, the angel said, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw him go to heaven. Then on, listen. On a planting from the Lord in a city with purpose. Stay with me here. Are you with me?

Say yes. A planting from the Lord and then a promise from the Lord. And on those two things, they went to the place of prayer. Again, I don't mean this to be alliterative, but it just turns out that it is. They are planted by God in a city.

They have a promise from God that in that city, hallelujah. Come on to Daresville. There will be an outpouring of the spirit of God.

I'm standing on it this morning abundantly, more than we can ask or think. There will be an outpouring. It may not look the way we want it to, it may not sound the way we expect it to, but I refuse to miss what God is doing because I want it to look like what he's always done. Come on.

They are planted and they have a promise. Hallelujah. And they go, this is a good time to pray.

It's a good time to pray now. God told us where to be.

He told us what he would do.

Going to see Adairsville touched by the power of God, by the fire of God. See Calhoun touched by the fire of God. I don't care how many people have come before I feel to say, I don't know how many people come and messed it up. This ain't that group.

We're going to see God do something significant. And they say, all right, then we're going to go to prayer. If we are planted and we have a promise, going to go to prayer. Then they return. Verse number 12.

Verse number 12. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet. Hello Mount Olive, which is near Jerusalem. A Sabbath day's journey. And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying.

Peter, James, John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alexander, Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. These all continued with one accord. Listen to me. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication with the women and Mary, the mother of Joseph and with his brothers. Walk with me now.

They have been planted. Mr. Cameraman, I'm sorry for walking so much, but I'm going to keep doing it.

They have been planted. They have a promise. You have been planted. You have a promise. And now they go to prayer.

And in my mind, Andrew, in my mind, Ryan, in my mind, Ashley, in my mind, Staff of Remnant Church, in my mind, people of Remnant, in my mind after prayer is when the outpouring comes.

In my mind, if we can just gather and seek God, if we can. Pentecostals are many times like the prophets of baal. If we can scream and be loud enough and cut ourselves loud enough, we believe God will come.

I offended some of y' all there not realizing that in this new covenant the same spirit that rises creates Jesus from dead, lives within our mortal bodies. We are now in union with the Christ Jesus. We do not serve a God who is a million miles away. And we got to beg for him to come. He actually lives within us right here and now.

That single revelation will change your life.

I'm thinking we finish verse 14. Put up verse 14 for me, Mrs. Screen Person. I'm thinking we finished this. OK. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication with the women in Mary, the mother of Jesus.

I mean, Jesus, Mama is there.

Jesus, Mama is there. You can't tell me they not got something going on. If Jesus Mama is coming to your church.

Surely something is beginning to move and happen, happen. Jesus, Mama is there. And I, in my mind, maybe my natural, maybe it's because of my upbringing, my, my discipling the culture in which I was raised in. I would think by God they're going to push, they're going to pray until something happens.

I'm being sarcastic by the way and I'm thinking they're going to, to gather and they're going to pray. And after verse 14 in my mind I'm thinking that's where Acts 2:1 should come.

Then after the prayer there should be the outpouring. We're planted, we have a promise and we are taking this thing to prayer. We are seeking God, we are calling 21 days of prayer and fasting. We're going on a Daniel fast and eating so many green beans we're losing our minds.

I went on a Daniel fast one time, Ryan and I said I hate vegetables forever. Just said I'm not doing that anymore. If I'm on fast, I'm just not putting any food in my mouth. Glory to God.

I was more dissatisfied eating the only. Maybe that's how red blooded American I was more dissatisfied eating only vegetables than not eating at all. I would have rather not eaten at all. Beans, green beans, collards. I'm over it.

I need a piece of meat.

But in my mind I'm thinking Acts 1:14. They've been planted, they have a promise and now they're going to prayer. And I'm thinking now, yeah, we get together, we pray, we seek God. God's about to pour out his spirit on us. That's not what happened.

That's not what happened. And this is what the Holy Spirit pastor told me to tell this church today that you're in this season I'm about to talk about.

Because I want to encourage you not to get frustrated that you may not be seeing what you want to see quite yet. I'm talking about in the realm of the spirit. I'm not talking about in life change. I'm not talking about, I'm not talking about, I'm not talking about people salvation's attention. That's not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about move of the spirit. Sometimes people that hunger for that can get frustrated and bitter.

Huh? They get bitter, they get frustrated, they get aggravated. It's not happening the way with this. They get all those things And I felt like the Holy Spirit sent me as a man sent from God to you this morning to tell you you are in the spot I'm about to talk about. And it's okay, and it's good.

And it's leading you to the outpouring. You want to see? See, they are planted. They have a promise. And they begin to pray.

Verse number 15, please, sir. And they're unified in prayer. They're connected in prayer. There's no disunity among them. And in those days, Peter stands up in the midst of the disciples.

120 people, a lot more than that in here today. 120 people. And he says to them something very interesting. This is what he says. Can you give me a few more minutes?

This is what he says to them. I want you to listen to this. Men and brethren, this scripture had to be fulfilled. So not only are they in prayer, they're going to the Scriptures. Listen to, read and discern from the Lord what he would say about the season they're in.

Are you listening to me? He's going to. They're going to. They're planted. They have a promise, and now they're going to prayer.

And in the middle of that prayer meeting, outpouring does not happen, but something else does that is just as important as outpouring, because it is the precursor to it. Peter stands up and says, men, this scripture had to be fulfilled. Which the Holy Spirit spoke before the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus. For he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry. Now.

Now, this man purchased a field with the wages of his iniquity. And falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out. And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem that a field is called in their own language, akel dama, that is the field of blood. Listen to me. Me promise.

I mean planting, promise, prayer. And they go to the Scriptures. Listen, for it is written in the Book of Psalms. Now, he references here, ryan. Psalm chapter 69 is what he's referencing.

Let his dwelling place be desolate and let no one live in it. And then he references Psalm 109. So what you're seeing here, when he says, let his dwelling be desolate and let no one live in it, that is a prophecy from Psalm 69. Okay, so they go back. Listen to me.

They go back in the place of prayer. They're planted. They have a promise in the place. They go back to something God told them previously in a previous season to discern where they are in this season. Psalm 109.

Let his dwelling place be desolate. Psalm 69, let no one live in it. And then when it says. And he then switches to a prophecy from Psalm 109 that says, Let another take his office. Okay, watch.

So something happens. Are you with me? Say yes. When they go to the place of prayer, Pastor Andrew, there is not outpouring, but there is the revelation of something. There is a gap somewhere.

I know, I know this may be less exciting to you, but this is your vegetables this morning.

There's a gap somewhere.

They're planted, they have a promise and they take it to prayer. And when they go to prayer, in prayer and scripture, God reveals to them. Listen to me. There is disorder.

There was a Judas in their camp and he left. That's good.

But in the leaving, there's a gap. You have to hear what I'm saying. There's a gap now of disorder. Not because they've done something wrong. I'm not using disorder as an.

As an indicting word that something's being done wrong. That's not what I'm saying saying. I'm saying as a result of the situation they are in, the Holy Spirit reveals to them there's a piece missing that is very important. I want you to see this. And they say, we have to help me Holy Spirit, communicate this the way I need to.

We have to fill this gap before the promise can come to pass. Pass this. This space. This space must be filled in order to see what we want God to do. What, what, what am I trying to get you to see here for a moment?

Just, just watch this. Therefore, verse number.

Therefore of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John to that day when he was taken up from us, one of these must become a witness with us of the resurrection. They listen what prayer did. Prayer revealed a place. Listen where. Where order was not yet established.

It did not reveal outpouring. This is. In all my years. I've been doing ministry now for 23 years. I'm 43.

I've not done anything but minister since I was 20 years old. Before that, I did a bunch of stuff that I'm glad I don't have to do now. I don't like standing on roofs in 95 degree weather. Hallelujah. Putting on roofs, shingles was the word I was looking for.

Jesus, help me, Father God.

23 years of my life doing this thing. Thank you, Lord for it. I've noticed that most people do not want to change.

Because in Order to change. I have to be honest and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal the places in me that are out of order.

And then by the grace and help of the Holy Spirit and the instruction of God's word, I then have to take and take the chaos in my life and twist it back into order. By the help of the Holy Spirit, I have to take what is in disorder and put it back into order.

And they didn't have to do this on their own strength because it was in prayer that God revealed it.

And in prayer. Boy, y' all got quiet. I'm depressing you now. See, people get depressed when they actually have to learn. They have to co labor with God for God to do something.

Now the Holy Spirit reveals to Peter. He stands up and says, see, let's get a practical example. You don't need some of you, not all of you. You. Some of.

Some of you do, but not all of you. Some of you don't need more money because money is a magnifier. It magnifies what you already are.

And sometimes more money is not the answer to our money problems. The answer to our money problems is disorder being put back into order.

See, I know I'm not going to get many claps on this, but we say we. I need. I need God to bless me. That's true. Yes, you do, but some.

Let me, let me give you an example. And I'm going to. I'm not going to be much longer, I promise. That's a lie.

I remember, Pastor, and I'm going to use this example because I think important for what I want to just be done. I remember I was about. I don't know, I was close to 28, 29 years old, and I had got out of the will of God while I was in college. Early, early in college, 18, 19 years old. And I got in some credit card debt.

I had like 8 or $9,000 of credit card debt that sort of hung with me and I got really frustrated with it. And this is not about money and I'm not taking up an offering, so cool it. I told the crowd last night, I'm independently wealthy, so I can say anything I want because whether you give me a dollar or none, it doesn't affect my life in any way. Hallelujah.

I remember having about 8,000, $9,000 of credit card debt. And I went to the Lord in prayer about it and I said, I have this debt, Lord, and I'm tired of it. I'm tired of this debt. I'm weary of It. I want it to go away.

And the Lord said, okay. And this is what the Lord told me to do. He said, do you see that iPhone you have? I said, I sure do. He said, do you need that?

And I said, well, I like that. That's not what I asked you, son. Do you need that? I said, no, Lord, I do not. And he said, I want you to go to your AT&T store, and I want you to use your upgrade to get the cheapest phone you can and the cheapest plan you can, and I want you to discipline yourself to stay within it.

So I go to the AT&T store. Is this okay, Pastor? I go to the AT&T store. There's a young man in there. You know, all those people work in those phone stores.

They're usually. They're usually really sharp people. They're not.

If you work in one, I bless you to be sharper than 99% of the people that work in those. So I walk in there and I tell this young man, I say, I want to get a phone. Yeah, man, because we live in America. So he's thinking, I'm getting. Getting bigger, better faster.

Bigger screen, more stuff, more apps, more this. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, yeah, I want to trade my phone in. I said, what's the cheapest phone you have? And there was a little phone there that it was about this big, and the face slid up and there was a physical QWERTY keyboard on it.

Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. And he said, that's the cheapest phone we have. I said, that's great. I want that, and I want the cheapest plan you have. He was like, what do you mean?

I said, I want the cheapest one you have. And he said, well, that only means you have, like, three. This is back then. Do y' all remember. Maybe y' all know.

Do y' all remember when you got free minutes after 9?

Oh, Lord. I'd tell my wife, who was then not my wife. She's my girl, though. I tell her, I said, Baby, it's 8:52. I ain't got many miss minutes left.

Let me call you in about 15 after 9, and then we can talk for two or three hours. Got those free minutes. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Okay, So I tell him, I said, I want the cheapest plan you got. I want the cheapest phone you got.

He said, well, man, this means you only get like 300 text messages a month. You only get this many. I said, it's fine. He said, well, what do you. What, you want to get a new line?

Are you trading? And I literally hang out him my iPhone and go, I'm trading this in. And he went, it's like you ever heard. You ever seen when a puppy gets whistled at and his head goes. That's what.

He goes, what do you mean? I said, I want to trade this in. And he goes, no, man. No, man. We don't use upgrades to do what you're doing.

I said, I want to trade it in. Trade it in. And he kept pressing me. I said, bro, just do it, okay? He said, fine, fine, fine.

So I had to look like an idiot in front of the AT&T guy, and I trade my phone in. Guess what happens after I do that? Okay? I'm walking with you here. I'm praying about getting out of debt.

And the answer from the Lord to me is not a check in the mail. It's an instruction in my disorder.

So I do that, Pastor, and guess what happens over the next few weeks? Nothing.

And I obeyed the Lord. Guess what happens over the next six months? Nothing. Okay, then I'm sitting one day in my house. I had a little apartment at the time I was single.

I lived in a little tiny duplex that makes me want to throw up now that it only cost me $300 a month. If I could pay $300 a month somewhere to live now, I would be the. I would. I would be in. I wouldn't be here with you.

I'd be in Bora Bora right now.

Okay? So I'm in this little duplex, and I have DirecTV. I'm sitting there one day, and I hear the Holy Spirit, I hope this is okay, Pastor. I hear the Holy Spirit say, you know what, son? I said, what?

He said, you watch that more than you spend time with me.

And I went, and he says, I want you to call DirecTV and cancel that. And I said, lord, I just got it like three months ago, and I'm locked into a contract.

How many of y' all know the Lord don't care? I'm locked into a contract. So I called DirecTV. I'm on the phone with the lady, ma', am. I need to cancel my service.

Well, sir, you just started three months ago. You have a contract. We're going to have to penalize you. You're going to have to pay this many hundreds of dollars to get out of it, etc. Etc.

Ma', am, I'll do that. Whatever I need to do. And she kept pressing as they do that. They're doing their job. She's pressing me.

She's pressing me. She's pressing me. She's pressing me. She's pressing me. She's pressing me.

Finally, this is what I said. It's for a religious reason, Brother. When I told that woman that on that phone, it was like all the way from India, it was silence.

Y' all better hear what I'm saying. Can't nobody understand these people on other land. I'm about to invest $2 million just to get a call center in America. Hallelujah. Where I can call somebody.

Can I understand? Put me on the phone with anybody I can understand.

I cut the TV off. I cut the TV off. Listen to me. And for over a year, the Holy Spirit would whisper to me small instructions as I asked him for an outpouring in my life.

Almost a year, year and a half later, I go to a service, Ryan, in Illinois. I'm there to preach. I'm almost done. Everybody, I promise, I'm almost done. I go to Illinois to preach.

They're the worst services in the history of Christian services.

This guy in this tiny town, Pastor Andrew, believes God's going to send revival. He's got a tent up with 50 million seats in it. And there's three and a half people in the whole meeting. It's the worst meeting I've ever been a part of. And I'm there to preach.

And I'm grateful to do it. I don't care if it's 1 or 200. I told you, I'm going to preach by God. Okay? It's the worst meeting I've ever been a part of.

I get done. I give God. You have never seen a praise louder when those meetings were over. Thank you, God. I can go home now.

When I get ready to go home, a man walks up to me and hands me two envelopes.

I get back to my hotel room and I opened those two envelopes. This is not a preacher trick. I'm not taking up an offering. I'm not promising you something. Because if you sow into my life, hallelujah.

If you do, good things will happen. But I'm not promising.

I ain't got no trouble receiving. Hallelujah. Praise God. Listen, I get back to my hotel room, I'm a young man. I want to get this debt off of me because the Lord says to Owe no man anything but to love him.

Listen, listen, listen, listen. I open those envelopes. This is a true story. I'm not lying at all before the Lord. I put my hand on the whole.

By God, I'm standing and touching on the front, ok? I promise you, I open those envelopes and not to the penny, but really close in one moment and in two checks, every single ounce of debt I had was wiped out like that. Now listen.

We are the same way with the spirit. That's what we hunger for. We hunger for the breakthrough, we hunger for the outpouring. What we do not hunger for is the instruction that precedes it.

This is what we do not hunger for. We do not hunger for going into the AT&T store and handing a guy and looking like an idiot in front of the AT&T guy and giving up your iPhone and getting that phone and disciplining yourself. Not. We do not like calling the DirecTV person and then a million other things. The Holy Spirit told me to do this right because he actually wanted to see do.

Am I just a bunch of talk or do I actually want want what I say I want. And I'm afraid, I'm afraid that many people in our expressions of church claim they want an Acts 2 outpouring, but they will not obey an Acts 1 instruction where there is disorder and put it back into order.

And Peter stands up and says, there's a gap here. We have been planted in this city. We have a promise from God. We're going to take this to prayer. And in prayer, the man of God stands up and says, we've got to adjust something.

And he says, there's been a gap. A Judas was in our midst. I'm not saying that that's true here, but I've been in ministry long enough to know there's Judas in every.

And he says, there's a gap here. And we're supposed to have 12 and we only have 11. And we've got to figure out how to get that number back where it's supposed to be. There's a disorder here. There's a gap here.

And he said, we're going to pray, we're going to ask God and then we're going to cast lots and we're going to see. And there was two men it could have been. And the man that it landed on was a man named Matthias, which means the gift of God. Because it is the gift of God that you would be that you would allow the Holy Spirit to fill the gaps of your disorder in Order that he may pour his outpouring on you.

They say, matthias, come on, son. And they prayed. They said, verse number 24. You, O Lord, know the hearts of all show which of these two you have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas fell by transgression, that he might go to his own place. And they cast their lots.

And the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the 11 apostles. We have a plan planting. We have a promise. We have a place of prayer.

And then we have the establishment of order.

And then it says this. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they, including Matthias, were all accord and in one place. Place. And there came a sound from heaven. And the Lord told me to tell you this morning, do not despise the days of order.

This house is in a season of order. You just got in this building in December. You're learning. You're finding out new things. How do we do all of this?

How do we structure all of this? How do we function all. How do we. How do we make sure people are getting in, getting out? How do we do this?

How do we have the people. What. What are all these things? These are elements of order. And God, before he says, I want.

Listen. Why does he do this? Because he refuses to let the wine be wasted.

And God wants to pour something. I'm done. I promise. Mama, can you come and just play for me? It'll make me quit or it'll make me go longer because I start feeling something.

Thank you for listening to me today. I never take it for granted when God gives me the opportunity to speak to his people. Because you're God's prize. I'm just God's tool. He can get rid of me and get a better one.

But he plans on keeping you.

Can you just do something soft, not minor key, please. Just something major key.

Do you know the song? Can I. Can I request something? All the earth will shout your praise. Our hearts will cry these bones will sing.

Great. Are you Lord? Oh, I can sing. Good. Can I?

Praise God. Praise God. Praise God. Praise God.

Just softly turn her down just to touch. Mr. Sound Man.

Pastor. I know your heart, Ryan and Ashley. I know your heart burns for revival. Burns for the move of God, Burns for the outpouring of the spirit. And that is good and that is right.

But with all the grace I can. I want to say to you and to this house, don't despise these days of order, because God, whether you can see it or not, is setting something up.

And I got a good encouraging word for some of you. And some of you are going to hate it. You ready for it? And some you of. And some of you might not even see the outpouring.

But your kids will.

And your grandchildren will. And your great grandchildren will. And your great, great great grandchildren will. And your great, great, great, great great grandchildren will. But somebody's going to put it in order.

So he can pour out his spirit.

God told Moses, son, you build that temple exactly the way I showed it to you in that mountain. The glory of the Lord did not feel that Old Testament temple until every piece was put in order.

And then the glory of the Lord filled the temple to where the priests could not even stand to minister.

Even in second Chronicles 7:14, we love to quote that without context. That verse is on the heels of Solomon building God a temple.

And when the temple is completed, then he says, if my people, why? Because glory follows order.

And I just want to pray a simple prayer because some of you even personally are asking God to do something in your life. Life. You're asking God. I'm finishing now. You're asking God to do something in your life.

And he really, really wants to. God really, really wanted me to get out of that debt. But he also really, really wanted me to grow. He wanted me to mature, and he wanted me to set some things in order that when he handed me that blessing, it would not be worth wasted.

I. Listen to me. Listen to me. I would rather you have 20 years of order and 50 years of outpouring than a year and a half of outpouring and then it fall flat and people scatter and it's over and people get hurt and harmed. You better hear what I'm saying.

I've been around. Oh my. I've been around long enough. Enough. I've been around.

I've seen flash in the pan revivals where the place explodes and God is moving in. A year and a half later, the preachers had an affair with somebody and something crazy is going on and it falls apart and people are wounded and hurt and all this stuff. People got to find the way. It takes 10, 10 years for people's nervous system get regulated to even come back to church and trust preachers again. I know what I'm talking about.

Do not despise.

Do not despise the days of order.

I sense your pastor like Peter, standing up and saying, we're going to adjust this church. We're going to pivot right here. We're going to focus on marriage for the next three weeks. Because we need order in these marriages. See?

See? We need. We need. We need. We want God to do a miracle.

Just change my husband. No. How about no. How about we put it in order? How about we get our attitudes in order?

How about we get our emotions order. How about we put it in order so that when God pours out his spirit on us, nothing is wasted.

They were planted just like you, Adairsville. They in Jerusalem, they had a promise, just like you. They in Jerusalem. You in Adairsville, they took it to prayer just like you.

And in the middle of prayer, God said, I've got some things I want to adjust. Because whether you see it or not, Adairsville, Acts two is coming.

Whether you recognize it or not, even in your own personal life and family, Acts 2 is coming. He will pour out his spirit on all flesh. But I would hate for you to experience something you cannot hold.

How crazy would it be to have a child you cannot raise and to see it birth, but you cannot raise it. This is what happens in most churches with the move of the spirit. They do not have the order to hold what he hands them. That will not be so in this house.

You, remnant church are in days of order.

Celebrate these days, honor these days, Be thankful for these days.

Because you know what happens when the Acts 2 thing comes. So much starts happening. People have to leave and be sent out. Relationships change. Not.

Not because of bad, because of good. Movements start happening. People start going. I'm telling you, you're in a sweet spot right now where God is beginning something with the construction of this temple. You're in a sweet spot.

Don't despise what God is doing right now. I know you want outpouring, and you should.

But in your hunger for outpouring, don't get bitter when your days are filled with order.

Would you lift your hands to Jesus? Father, I thank you.

I thank you for this day. I thank you for this people. I thank you for this house. I thank you for this leadership.

I thank you for this leadership.

I thank you for what you've called this house to be and do in this city, in this community, this region, and in this state. I declare that they will not despise the days of order.

I want to say this, too. I want to say this to the staff, the leaders. I want to ask you a question. Question. I'm going to ask you to please not Compare what God is doing here to what God is doing somewhere else.

God is not doing something better somewhere else than he is doing here. God planted you here because this is the garden you are intended to tend. Rejoice over it. Thank God for it. See the good in it.

Speak life into it.

And Father, I thank you that you're going to anoint this staff, this leadership, this house. I thank you for the Acts 2 outpouring that is coming. Hallelujah. But I declare over this people their hunger will not lead them to bitterness and frustration. It will allow them to hear the instructions of the Spirit to get ready for all God wants to do.
