Many believers find themselves exhausted from trying to produce what only God can provide, but we were created for rest, not endless toil. In the Garden of Eden, Adam’s first day was spent resting in God’s presence, and his work was worship, not burden. The fall changed tending into toiling, but through Jesus Christ, we can return to biblical rest. This means working from worship rather than working toward worth, seeking God first before tackling our day, and trusting His provision instead of striving for security. Rest isn’t found in achievements or vacations, but in the person of Jesus Christ who IS our rest.
