Raise the B.A.R. and have Ridiculous Faith
Hebrews 11:1

Ridiculous Faith
Abel: Fairs Does Things God’s Way
Enoch: Faith Walks
Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
#1 Only with Faith, will our Obedience be Pleasing to God
Two parts to faith in this verse which show why it pleases God.
#1 He says that Faith believes that God exists.
#2 He says that faith believes that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
God is pleased by us, when two things about Him are reflected in our lives
One: that He is real and the other that He is rewarding; He is Good
Behind these two beliefs about God are two great facts:
# 1. God exists absolutely.
#2 He is a God of Overflow
Hebrews 11:7 (NKJV)
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
There is a 3 fold message we can see in the account of Noah and the Flood
#1 First the wickedness of man can be very great and his heart can be deceitful
#2 Second God is patient, gracious, and warns of judgment, but there is a time that judgment comes to those who are unrepented
#3 Third, Judgement doesn’t have the final word, God’s Grace does
Numbers 14:21 (NKJV)
“All the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord” and I believe that and I am pursuing that!!
Psalm 51:5 (NKJV)
“Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
Jeremiah 17:9 (NKJV)
“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?
Genesis 6:5-7 (NKJV)
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
Genesis 6:11 (NKJV)
11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
Genesis 6:8 (NKJV)
8 BUT Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
Genesis 6:9 (NKJV)
9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
Matthew 18:7-9 (NKJV)
7 “Woe to the world for temptations to sin! For it is necessary that temptations come, but woe to the one by whom the temptation comes! 8 And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the hell of fire.
Matthew 24:36-39 (NKJV)
36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39 and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
2 Timothy 4:8 (NKJV)
8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
